Starting the An Icy Invitation Quest
To begin this quest, you must first unlock Anna by traveling to the Frozen Realm inside the Dream Castle and bringing her back to the valley. Once Anna reaches Friendship Level 2, speak with her to receive the "An Icy Invitation" task. She will express concern about her sister Elsa and explain that you need a stronger tool to clear obstacles in the Forest of Valor.
Gathering Materials for the Pickaxe Upgrade
Anna will provide a recipe for the shovel blade upgrade that requires specific crafting components. You need to gather Softwood, Hardwood, Iron Ore, and Tinkering Parts to craft the necessary upgrade at a crafting station. Finding Hardwood requires searching the ground in the Forest of Valor or Glade of Trust, while Iron Ore is mined from rock spots in those same biomes.
Crafting and Upgrading Your Tool
Once you have collected all required crafting items, head to any crafting bench and navigate to the Functional Items tab. Assemble the Royal Pickaxe Upgrade Head using your gathered materials, then open your inventory to apply it to your tool. With the upgrade equipped, Kratos-like strength isn't needed, as your shovel can now break small and large tree stumps throughout the realm.
Clearing the Path and Finishing the Quest
Return to the Forest of Valor and clear the tree stumps blocking the wooden bridge leading across the river. After the path is fully cleared, speak with Anna to complete the objective and unlock access to the remaining areas of the biome. Finishing this quest paves the way for Elsa's arrival in the valley and opens up new resource gathering opportunities for future tasks.
